Privacy Policy

What We Collect

We collect only what you give us directly:

  • Email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter or submit the contact form.
  • Name and message, if you use the contact form.
  • JVI3 account details, if you choose ecosystem sign-in: your JVI3 user ID, username, email address, display name, avatar URL, profile URL, and plan. EcoKure does not receive your password, social-provider token, or JVI3 session token.
  • Search activity, if you are signed in to ecokure.net and keep search activity enabled: the query, time, result count, and result provider.

We do not use advertising cookies or track you across unrelated sites. We use essential cookies for security, product sign-in, anti-forgery state, preferences, and Ghost Mode. We do not receive your Google, GitHub, or Facebook credentials from JVI3.

How We Use It

  • Newsletter subscribers: We use your email address to send EcoKure product updates, launch announcements, and benchmark results. We send infrequently, typically less than once per month.
  • Contact form submissions: We use your name, email, and message to respond to your enquiry. Nothing more.
  • Ecosystem account: We use the minimal JVI3 profile snapshot to recognise you across EcoKure products and link to your canonical JVI3 profile.
  • Search activity: We show signed-in users their own recent searches and may use saved activity to improve their personal EcoKure experience. Activity is not saved while Ghost Mode is on.

Ghost Mode

Ghost Mode prevents a search from being added to your EcoKure account history or used for account personalisation. It does not make your network connection anonymous. A query still has to be processed by EcoKure and may be sent to the result provider shown on the results page. Short-lived infrastructure, security, and abuse-prevention logs may still be produced. Verified-answer calls to JVI3 are skipped while EcoKure Ghost Mode is active.

Browser Extension (EcoKure Search + DTL Verify)

The EcoKure Search + DTL Verify browser extension is served from ecokure.net and described in full at ecokure.net/privacy. In summary:

  • "Verify with DTL" right-click action: the text you select (up to 1,000 characters) is sent to ecokure.net's verification endpoint, which routes it through JARVI3's ClaimGate to extract and check any verifiable claims. That text is used only to produce the verdict shown back to you — it is not stored, logged, used for advertising, or used to train models.
  • Default search: if you set EcoKure as your default search engine, search terms are sent to ecokure.net/search the same way as any search — see "Search activity" above for how retention, Ghost Mode, and result sourcing work.
  • Rate limiting: your IP address is used transiently to enforce a daily limit on verification requests. It is not linked to your identity and is not kept beyond that daily count.
  • The extension only acts when you explicitly right-click selected text or use the search box — it does not read pages in the background, track browsing history, or run without your action.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personal data. It aggregates anonymous page view statistics only. No consent banner is required.

Data Storage

Subscriber email addresses, account session hashes, optional search history, and donor wall details are stored in databases on our servers. Search activity defaults to 90-day retention and can be changed to 30 or 365 days. Users can delete one search, delete all searches, or turn activity off; turning it off deletes existing EcoKure search history. Card details are handled by Stripe; EcoKure stores only payment confirmation metadata such as checkout session IDs, payment intent IDs, amount, and paid status.

Personal information is controlled by ECOKURE PTY LTD, ABN 98 699 693 779, ACN 699 693 779.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose only what is needed to operate the requested service, including to JVI3 for ecosystem identity, Railway for application and database hosting, Cloudflare for DNS/security delivery, Resend or configured mail providers for transactional email, Stripe for payments, Brave Search (Brave Software, Inc.) for supplemental search results when our own index doesn't have enough coverage, and Google Safe Browsing for an optional extra layer of unsafe-link detection where enabled. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by emailing admin@jvi3.com with the subject "Unsubscribe".
  • Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your data at any time.
  • Manage or delete EcoKure search activity from the account page, and use Ghost Mode for searches that should not enter account history.
